Best cozy weather reads!

The cool, crisp air is finally upon us, so grab a good book and cozy up next to the fire! Here are a few of my favorite (preppy) reads:

1. The Help
I could not stop turning the pages of this historic novel. I may just be a dork who loves history but reading about the 1960's Southern societal roles through the eyes of three woman was fascinating and so entertaining!
2. The Awakening
Maybe I just love reading about history and roles in society but this early 1900's novella also brings in elements of scandal, love, death, and style. If i didn't know better, I would swear Nicholas Sparks was the mastermind behind this tear jerker!

A few more good, quick reads:
  • Prep: A Novel -- go to prep school? you'll think you're reading about your school.
  • Posh -- awesome.
  • The Right Address
  • The Official Preppy Handbook -- duh. read often.
  • The It Girl -- total guilty pleasure. spin off of The Gossip Girl series that follows Jenny to a New England prep school

And finally my new favorite reads:

ANY book by Jen Lancaster. She is the queen of all things preppy (not to mention a hysterical writer)! Her sarcasm, style, and hint of mean will keep you laughing out loud the whole time! The series begins with Bitter is the New Black, followed by Bright Lights Big Ass, Such a Pretty Fat, Pretty in Plaid, and My Fair Lazy.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this series for the cold winter months to come!
